Ritual Immersion in Tarot (Online or In person, Yearlong)

Join a small group of seekers in a yearlong, soul-centered ritual of learning the tarot.  Acquire what books can never give you - direct experience and relationship with the archetypal energies and messages of the tarot deck. Through ritual, dreams, shamanic journeying, personal practice, history, lore and more, you will deepen in your knowledge of the cards, access higher wisdom and strengthen your intuitive abilities. The course will be deeply experiential, teaching you how to read for yourself and others, interpretation methods. a variety of spreads, and more.

What’s Covered

The Major Arcana, the Minor Arcana, symbolism and interpretation, spreads, reading for self and others, time, fate, the soul’s journey, the basics of visioning, trance, and shamanic journeying, supplementary intuitive development and other divination practices, ritual, energetics, history and lore, ethics and boundaries, tips and tricks, cautions, pitfalls and more.


What to Expect

This is a course focused on developing your own direct experience and personal relationship with the archetypes and energies of the tarot deck — while some history, lore and book inquiry are involved, our time will go beyond the academic and theoretical. We will be fostering direct transpersonal and inner experiences with the cards, something you cannot achieve through reading a book.

Prerequisites

All are welcome for this course, and there are no prerequisites. All students will be asked to view a video before the first class that will explain some basic ritual and shamanic techniques and information, such as grounding, the clair-senses, and spiritual protection.

Location

Class is online via Zoom, but folks are welcome to also attend in person at my office in Port Townsend, WA.

Missing Class

Live attendance is encouraged, but classes are recorded for the weeks when you cannot make it live.


Supplies

  1. Thoth Tarot Deck

  2. Second tarot deck of your choice

  3. Optional: Bags or boxes to store your decks

  4. The Tarot Handbook - Angeles Arrien

  5. The Gnostic Tarot - Lee Irwin

  6. An Altar Cloth to do readings on

  7. A long-burning class candle (like a 7 day candle or something similar)

  8. An eye cover (scarf, eye mask, etc.)

  9. Optional: Ritual supplies such as incense, candles, statuary, altar items, etc. to be discussed in more detail during the first few courses. 

  10. Way to take notes

  11. Access to a computer or device with audio
